United Blower uses four types of materials to build acoustical enclosures for its positive displacement blower systems: Galvanized Steel Walk-In, Galvanized Steel or Aluminum Close-Fitting, PVC Vinyl Panels, and Fiberglass type of enclosures.
The Walk-In style can be used for single or multiple completely packaged blower systems, providing noise reduction up to 30 dbA.
The Close-Fitting types fit snugly around the parameter of the assembled blower system with noise reduction up to 20 dbA.
The PVC Flexible Vinyl Panel type enclosure can also be used for more than one blower system, but operates best with single packages with noise reduction from 8 to 12 dbA.
Fiberglass enclosures are more commonly used for their weather protection, although noise reductions up to 10 dbA and can be achieved with foam lined interior surfaces.
